The Obligatory "About" Post
April 29th, 2006I guess it would be good form to post one of these.
So by way of introduction… this is Sugar and Spite, version 2.0. In our first incarnation, we were making (awesome, really awesome) clothes out of not so awesome clothes. But the reality of that was that it was a giant time-suck that kept us from acting on all the other wonderfully crazy ideas we have. As for the clothes, we will still make some things now and again, and when we do we’ll put them here for your viewing (and purchasing) pleasure. As for all of the free time we have now acquired… well, welcome to v.2.0.
This is the place where you will find the Sugar and Spite webcomic, ruminations on pie, odes to geekdom, and, really, our attempt to take over the world, one scheme at a time.
Meet your hostesses!

Ali never thought she would be drawing fanged vegetables for the internet, because, you see, she is an Actual For Real Trained Artist. She also can do lots of other nifty things, like sewing, welding, cross-stitching, and even give you a massage (but you’d have to pay for it, because she’s trained for that, too). Likes PS2, Nintendo, American Inventor, non-fiction, the X-Men and Death Cab For Cutie. Hates Xbox, the way that nobody in the state of New Jersey understands how to merge onto the freaking highway, and you, if you’re boring. She will try anything Mik creates in the kitchen, with enthusiasm.

Mik has absolutely no formal training whatsoever in web design, but has a solid conviction that she can do anything. She loves all things food and cooking. She has no formal training in that either, but she’s pretty darned good at it. Also likes DDR, The Flyers, Greek Tragedies, and cheesy music from the 80s. She hates it when good stories are told in a bad way, but only slightly less than people who don’t know how to dress themselves. She lives in a tiny apartment with her crazy boyfriend, her dog, and two cats.
